Emergency housing in the region is primarily for women and children, or for indigent men. Most of the Community Ministries provide emergency shelter and other assistance, such as information and referral, life skills counseling, food closet, clothes closet, job networking, emergency rent/mortgage and utilities assistance, and the like. The Center for Women and Families provides emergency shelter for women and children at two sites.
